Bought truck used several months ago and am now evaluating mileage. It is a 4 wheel drive. Mileage on trips for last three fillups were, 15.6, 15.3, and 14.9. Overall since purchase it is15.8 mpg. Truck had 27,000 miles when purchased and only 31,000 now.
The ECOboost V6 3.5L is not getting the mileage promised. In the winter is was getting 13-14 highway - hardly the 21 highway that the sticker indicated.
Part of this lie may result from what I understand to be the federal testing by EPA where they get to use "pure" gasoline, but us dumb taxpayers have to use the ethanol-infused fuel which gets worse mileage, because non-ethanol fuel is not allowed in our area of the country
Update from Jul 17, 2014: After "break-in" period, mileage is closer to what is expected, however still not what was indicated originally.
