Engine oil continuously spills onto the engine, and it has caused engine failure. The check engine light and the oil reserve light will come on and it will cause a massive decrease in speed and even shut down. I was coming off the highway when it shut down last time almost causing a massive car accident. We have taken it to the ford dealership, but they told us that we would need a new engine.

May 18, 2022; Vehicle has 140,650 miles. My truck drove fine all day until It seems the like the transmission failed, it just kicked out of gear. The check engine light came on, as did the air bag light. The truck had no power, no fuel control, and seemed no transmission control. The first time, I was able to coast to a safe area, stop, and put the truck into park. It would not shift back into gear to proceed. I shut the vehicle off, and in park. Restarted and proceeded to continue, then it drove fine for less than 1/2 mile, and the check engine light and air bag light both came on again. The same problem occurred as before, no power and no transmission. I was able to coast to safety again, and shut the truck off again. Placed into park and restarted. Put into gear, and drove to a parts store about 1 mile away, with no problems, but I could feel the transmission hesitating to change gears. The parts store was unable to get any malfunction codes from the truck. We were able to drive the truck home without any other problems yet, 13 miles.

lost all of the electrical power to my truck as I was going to drop it off at the dealership for a recall. On my way there my truck downshifted into first gear over revved the motor and caused it to shut the motor down and loss of the computer as well. I had it towed to my local shop. I called Ford to see what they want me to do next and said to have it towed there and I did.Ford cant get power to the truck because there motor is no good. ford also tells me that the oil is way over full. but I know it wasn't over full it holds 6 quarts of oil and I know that.so they state that the oil is over filled and blew the truck up. but the problem is the computer and in that event caused the motor to blow up and push gas and break fluid into the motor truck only has 80,000 miles on it. this I feel as a manufacturers default and frontier ford of Anacortes WA. And ford itself only honors there own techs so they are going by what they say. I have been dealing with this for almost 7 months with out a truck witch has cost me a job and among other issues and loses. feel as they didn't honor or care about the customer or even looking into the dealership that has my truck. when I asked to seek with a supervisor I was told they are no supervisor available and that they would call me back i have still never heard from them. How long must I be without a truck or a jib because they aren't doing there job correctly and making my life here impossible to get a head in such hard time as it is. Thank you [XXX]. L look forward to hearing from you. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

recently purchased this vehicle only to discover that it has a stretched timing chain(noise). Research shows that this has been an ongoing issue with Ford. I'd like to know if Ford has a plan in place to issue a recall notice to fix?

while accelerating/driving in city traffic the vehicle lost power suddenly and abrupt and would not respond to any gas/throttle input. There were no prior indication of an issues. at the time when the vehicle lost power the maintenance sign/warning came on. The vehicle was not able to maintain or increase speed to main traffic flow and became safety risk to the driver and other motorists. The dealer diagnosed and replaced the throttle body to repair the vehicle. The dealer has claimed that the part is not a emission related part. Every day the transmission jumps to 1st gear and stays there. We have to pull over and put it in park or neutral then try to drive again. Most of the times it stays in 1st gear for 5 or 6 times of pulling over before it will return to normal. This happens regardless of speed at time it happens. It displays the 'wrench' on the screen, air bag light comes on and speedometer stops working. We are deathly afraid of even getting on a highway. We have read the same problem on the internet happening to hundreds of people, yet there is no recall notice yet. Why are there no recalls if we are all having the EXACT same thing. Some people reported their lead frame harness was replaced and fixed the problem and some reprogrammed the control module.
