2019 this first started. Dealership in Cape Girardeau, MO said it’s out of warranty and they won’t cover it. 2021 dealer in North Idaho said it should’ve been covered previously but I’m now really outside of the window.
My guess is the surface wasn’t prepared properly or the bed rail was crushed on and caused the paint to not adhere properly. The paint is literally flaking off in big chunks. Some of it has been spray painted with krypton by me after large section were bare. Too bad Ford won’t own up to the issue and one of their flagship models looks like garbage.
