Son was driving around 35 to 40 mph when a deer ran across the road. Was holding on to steering wheel, pushed on the brake to avoid the deer when the steering wheel broke in half. Did not hit the deer or another vehicle but son did hurt his hand when he went into the dash with steering wheel. He was able to drive it home.
It was fixed under warranty but my complaint is had my son not had the vehicle under control or was going any faster he could have very well lost his life that night and Ford does not want to do anything about this problem. Their comment was: and I quote" Can't go on what if" Well what if it was their kid. You would think they could make some kind of compensation for the scare they caused. But no, they are going to wait until someone gets killed first.
How many more F150 trucks will this happen to before they finally say oh yea, we have a problem here and maybe we should have listened then. They're saying Ford is build tough; don't believe it.
