Bought a new 2012Ford XLT F-150 to replace my 2002 Silverado. Since Ford didn't accept any 'bail-out' cash I thought I would patronize them. Shortly after purchase and within about 2500 miles I noticed my trans acting rude. Between 1-2 gears, this is touted as a six-speed, the trans slips and bangs really hard. Took it back to the dealer for my first service at 5k miles and they had the truck for a couple of days. When I picked it up, I was told that they reloaded/updated the software used to support the trans and that this software learns my driving habits. Come on... I don't cause the transmission to slip and bang between 1-2 gear.
