Always liked Ford trucks but this should not be happening to a vehicle with this low mileage. If this is what I have to look forward to with a Ford I can understand why I see so many new Rams on the road. This is a costly piece of junk.
Advancetrac light display on dash. Dealer charged $107 to diagnose. Estimated $1900 to repair. This appears to be a known problem to Ford for 2012-2014 F-150. Probably should be a recall considering numerous complaints. Considering less than 41,000 miles, dealer should offer better option for repair. Have had another mechanic check the problem, and they verify it is a problem Ford has known about and they offer no help through their dealer. Have been Ford owners through 10 vehicles and was planning to buy another. Reconsidering potential to buy another Ford. Seems their name says it all F(fix) O(or) R(repair) D(daily).
Since this can be a potentially hazardous problem with the truck, Ford needs to step up and issue a recall and solve the problems before a serious accident injures or kills someone. Dealer seems to have no intention of offering a more reasonably priced solution; a GMC dealer has offered a much reduced cost repair, which could influence my choice for a new vehicle in the future. So much for Ford pride! Even a Hyundai is looking better than Ford.
