Not even 8 years old w/ just over 53K miles and a one-year [new] old battery and now this truck is warning me of another problem (I had to have the fuel pump replaced a year ago for over $1700 + cost of a new battery). I suppose I will have to have the alternator checked out.
HOW DO PARTS FAIL JUST SITTING IN A GARAGE, GETTING ~ 6000 HIGHWAY MILES ADDED TO THE ODOMETER YEAR AFTER YEAR?
Update from Mar 31, 2021: The alternator checked out good and there is no obvious explanation for why the battery would have been drained so low (nearly half of the rated CCA for this one year old battery) and not recharged during driving spells every two weeks.
