The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the ignition switch was faulty. The contact stated that when the key was placed in the ignition, it would wiggle as if the opening were loose. Also, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to recognize when the key was taken out of the ignition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the ignition switch was defective and the ignition cylinder was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,589.
