Own a beautiful 2012 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCab. Have only 41,321 miles (bought new in 2012). Problem: it dislikes batteries! Batteries have failed just about 1 &1/2 years of usage. Dealer installed Battery Tender, used it religiously when vehicle not in use. Luckily, dealer replaced 3 at no charge; after running extensive electrical/ diagnostic tests over the past 5 years! Nothing was discovered that would lead to battery's premature deaths! Just purchased a brand new, dealer installed 4th battery on 2/4/19. Fingers are crossed that it lasts at least 3 years! Coming from an automotive background(Dad was a truck/car mechanic) I am at a complete loss as to why these batteries fail. Vehicle garage-kept, pampered - looks showroom new! Never any accessories left on while garaged. Maybe there's a gremlin that comes out to destroy the battery on a regular interval!?
