Research shows me this is a problem with the F150 going as far back as 2011. Many owners report repairs needed include replacement of the steering rack and also replacement of the multi-function switch controlling the turn indicators, as well as replacement of the steering column. Ford needs to re-call this vehicle and fix this problem before someone gets hurt, if they haven't already.
Update from Feb 15, 2019: Still not fixed, and Ford is ignoring it.
