The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. While driving at various speeds, the undercarriage shield dropped to the ground. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the undercarriage shield needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The lower control arms on my 2012 Ford F-150 ecoboost have excessive rust/corrosion. Separating arms have recently been linked to steering problems up to and including a crash.
