Went and bought a Ford F150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4. Single owner with decent mileage. Sunroof broke while opening one day less than six months after I bought it. Neither the dealer nor Ford would stand behind the vehicle. Sunroofs just shouldn't break before 100k miles (guess I got spoiled owning Hondas). Also, there is no extended warranty that would have covered the track assembly. The most expensive I could find only covers the motor.

Sunroof required a complete track assembly replacement. I also had the motor replaced because it was inexpensive and the labor is pretty high for this job. Cost was $1600 out the door plus the rental car fee. Dealer did not provide a loaner.

IF YOU HAVE THIS REPAIRED, MAKE SURE THEY DO A WATER TEST WHEN IT IS DONE!!!!!!!

I had to go back when the sunroof started leaking....it had never leaked before and was not leaking when I brought it in the first time. Another $250.

2 trips to the dealership and about $2200 gone on a vehicle that came out of the factory valued at over $50,000.

Do not buy a Ford truck with a sunroof!!!!!!

This is the second time this sh*t has happened since I bought the truck. I payed $42,000 for this truck and this is unacceptable . Not to mention it took 5 day to get the parts the first time that left me without my truck. Ya they gave me a rental but that cost me more money out of my pocket which is bull sh*t. The first time it broke the truck was only 2 years old . Now the second time the truck is only almost 5 years old. I don't use the sunroof that often so I don't understand why this sh*t keeps happening. It is a dam shame to spend that kind of money on a new vehicle for these things to happen. Luckily the truck was under warranty but it has been in for other problems also but the sun roof is my problem now.
