The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the mechanic was attempting to rotate the tires, it was discovered that the lug nuts on all four wheels were swollen and could not be easily removed. The contact was informed that the lug nuts would be damaged while being removed to rotate the tires. The lug nuts were removed, and the tires were rotated. The lug nuts were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 154,000.
Wheel Lug Nuts were swollen and couldn't be removed. This is a known issue by Ford. It prevents you from changing the tire and is a critical safety concern.
