When putting the truck into gear the transmission jerks hard. Again it's pretty bad when you pay $60,000 for a truck and issues arise you pay out the butt for them. Call Ford Motor Company and of course they say there is not enough complaints for a recall. How many complaints do they need?
I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 7 OR 8 TIMES, THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT MAKE THE VEHICLE DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AS SOON AS I LEFT THEIR LOT, IT DID IT AGAIN AND HAS BEEN DOING SO EVER SINCE. THE PROBLEM IS SO BAD THAT IM AFRAID THE TRANSMISSION OR DRIVE SHAFT IS GOING TO BREAK. THE SHIFT FROM 1ST TO SECOND OR FROM SECOND TO 1ST FEELS LIKE SOMEONE HAS REAR ENDED ME. I WON'T BE BUYING ANOTHER F-150 BECAUSE, I'M QUITE SURE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND DID NOTHING. WHY WOULD I HAVE SUCH HARD SHIFTING ON A CONTINUAL NORMAL DRIVE AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. I KNOW WHEN I'VE BEEN LIED TO, AND I DON'T APPRECIATE THEIR CONSTANT IGNORING THE PROBLEM. THIS WAS A $53,000.00 TRUCK IN SEPTEMBER 2011, THE NEW 2015 IS OVER $71,000.00. NOT A LOT OF BANG FOR THE BUCK HUH?
When your going 60 mph and with no warning truck starting jerking really bad looked at the gauges both shifting and speedometer were moving up and down pretty fast even when I was slowing in down with lots of traffic behind me. Was so upset shaking I thought I was going to roll over caused me anxiety and migraine. Took it to dealership hope they can tell me what happened and that it's a recall or manf. warranty.
This issue has been ongoing over the past year. Transmission jerks very hard primarily when downshifting automatically, to the point you think the transmission has fallen out of the bottom of the truck. This problem has occurred off and on at least 6 times over the past year. Last event occurred on 1/5/16. Cruise control was engaged, set at 60 mph. Started down a steep hill, transmission shifted from 6th to 5th automatically to maintain 60 mph. Violent jerk from transmission and then disengaged. Noticed the tachometer needle bouncing between 1500 and 5000 RPM, truck shuddered, applied brake, disengaged cruise control...it took about 15 seconds for transmission to reacquire a gear. Truck has been to the dealer 4 times over the past year for this issue...no check engine light, no error codes found by the transmission tech. Dealer currently has the truck. Been a big fan of Ford for many years, it is very annoying to have this issue unresolved with no apparent fix in sight until something breaks.
Occasionally, while driving, the transmission will shift hard, usually when accelerating from a stop. The shift is so hard you'd swear something broke under the truck. This isn't the only issue I'm having with the transmission or other systems in the truck. I have always been a fan of Fords trucks but this one may change my mind about them.

Low speed shift clunk, under 10 mph; feels like someone hit you from behind. Had in twice for warranty and they put new shift program in. Did not help.
Sometimes on light acceleration and deceleration the transmission will up shift or downshift hard into gear. This happens at about 10 mph and exist intermittently.
Have a 2011 Ford 150 XLT with 3.7 engine. This truck since new has shifted with extreme shuddering from 2-3rd. and 3rd. to 4th. The truck cab with shack from the changing in gears. If you pull away slow it is worst.Dealer says nothing wrong with tranny. This a real unpleasant feeling when driving this truck, it feels like it is going to break a gear. This is my first Ford ,and will be my last. I am sure Ford is not concerned a bit.
The original two problems where horrible gas mileage for being a Eco boost and the jerking from Third to Fourth, The transmission jerking started a few months after purchase. the Terrible gas mileage has been since purchase. I currently get 15 miles per gallon, where as my previous non-Eco boost F150 I received 18 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. I drove from San Antonio, Texas to Santa Fe, New Mexico at 70mph, and never received better then 16.9 after I took it in to fix the transmission I started getting and even 15.00 MPG, no matter what speed or trip I took, with-in a month the transmission started jerking between second and third. its a crime that FORD can claim on the Vehicle Description form (17 city / 23 Hwy) I still have my paper and in small print it says expected for most drivers 14-20MPG in the City and 19-27MPG on the Highway, I am here to tell you they are full of SH*T.
