problem #4

F-150 Lariat 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

No way a timing chain should go bad at 55000 miles. The belts are either bad or too small for the job. Either way this a built in defect and by law should be covered for the life of the vehicle. If I repair this will I have to do it again in 55000?

Sounds like they are all alike. When accelerating engine light comes on. Loses power, shakes and rattles!

This problem occurred 1 time when I first bought truck, now it reoccurred 4 times in the last week. when i called the service department, they said they had not heard of this problem. After going on line I see it is wide spread.
