It is sorely upsetting that we spent a significant amount of time and money attempting to fix other factory defects. Should we have received a letter for the Customer Satisfaction Program notice 15N05, we would have known that replacing the Electric Vacuum Pump would have solved our issues with an annoying rattling sound, the brakes and possible gas gauge. The 15N05 program deadline ended over a year ago. Now our vehicle’s mileage is above the allowable terms for free repair. So we are forced to pay out of pocket for something that other Ford F150 2011 models are getting replaced for free.
Clearly issues with the vacuum pump pose serious safety hazards to our family and other people. It is scary when the brake pedals lock in midair, the brakes delay in stopping, and that the gas gauge fails. We would greatly appreciate help in getting Ford to extend the manufacture warrantees and recalls to our Ford F150 so that we could return to using our family/work truck safely. We thank you in advance for any good advice or help that you may have to offer.
