Found out our 2011 F-150 with only 30218 miles has excessive corrosion & rust on the support Bed Railing and needs to be replaced which we were told that has to be done by replacing the truck bed as well. Took this to the Ford Dealership we purchased from they confirmed this.
We submitted a claim with Ford. Ford denied this claim & now the Ford Dealership doesn't want to return our calls or offer any help. They also have pictures of this but won't give them to us or even give us an estimate of the repair cost.
After doing some research I have learned other owners of F-150 some even newer models are having the same issues and their claims have been denied. 2 years ago we were concerned with some of the rust we were seeing we took it to a local Ford dealership & they told us this was normal and nothing to be concerned about and now we are told in 6 months give or take the back of our truck bed could come off & not to use our truck bed.
We don't have money to fix Ford's defects. We just had to put front brakes on as well. Just made the last payments a few months ago & now we can't even use our truck bed and afraid to even drive it now. Thanks Ford for leaving us hanging!!!
Ford Motto: Built Ford Tough what a JOKE !!!! I would never buy a Ford again or ever recommend a Ford!! Worst experience yet !!!
