Bought this used in April, so far had to replace the differential and now both manifolds, 2 broken studs on left bank (drivers side) and Right bank, Passengers side. No record of any previous maintenance, so I'm supposed to believe head bolts just break and pop off.

Had it fixed at a specialty shop. No more dealer repair.

Ford declined to repair it under warranty or my extended (Ford) warranty. Said I probably towed item too heavy. Truck has heavy duty towing package.

At less than 100,000km I was hearing and exhaust leak on the truck. It was inspected by my mechanic who found that the manifold bolts on both sides of this engine were so badly rotted they had broken off. An attempt to drill out was unsuccessful due to the lack of space in the engine compartment. Needless to say the cylinder heads had to be removed for the bolts to be drilled out. Not a cheap fix.
