I bought a used 2010 f150 with 111,118 miles on it. When I got the truck, the transmission went the first day I got the truck. I was told that I was going to get a rebuilt one. When it was done, they put a junk yard tranny in it and they told me they paid total of 3000 dollars for material and labor, so I went to the same place where they bought this tranny to see how much would cost for a rebuild and the cost to put it in was $2900.

This tranny is junk - the truck is all over the road, shaking at 40-50 mph or more as speed picks up. I have changed every part - tires, brake pads, calipers. Herb Chambers in Mass sold me this truck and now I am stuck with this truck. I am afraid to drive it. I bought a used car to get back and forth to work.

I am heading to court January 7 2020. I even had a new lower steering shaft put in, but still this truck is all over the road when it rains. Water gets in from the window behind passenger side and runs from the back to the front of the truck. I may have bought a lemon.

Since new in 2010 it had a vibration shutter problem from a complete stop to go. I brought into the dealer the first time and all they did was greased the drive shaft. I drove it and it was better but still the shutter was there. I brought it back again to the same dealership and they said that they check everything and re-greased everything again, but to no avail, the problem still existed.

By this time I was really annoyed. I decided to try another dealer and they said they jacked the frame angle to the drive shaft and now the repair is good. But again there was still a slight shutter. Now my standard warranty was about over I would try again to bring it back to the dealer. Now they told me that everything is now good and it was for about a few months. Then after the warranty was over there was noise coming from the rear differential and the bearings need to be replace.

I took my truck to a independent car repair guy that I've known for years and he asked me if anyone was ever in the rear. I told him no, because every invoice from the dealer never mentioned it! Now I told my mechanic the whole story about the vibration in the drive and he responded well they over tightened the rear bearings to get rid of the shutter which cause the bearings to fail. Now my mechanic replaced the rear bearings and now the shutter returned.

As of today I lived with this problem for all these year and while getting off the highway my truck came to a sever shutter and banging. Well now the drive shaft support bearing and tunnel was torn off the frame. Now needing to have the drive shaft replaced, support bearing replaced and bearing support tunnel welded back on the frame. Now after all this BS the shuttering the problem is resolved.

I will never buy another FORD....I had so many problems with this truck this is only one of them. Problems... Blown Engine @ 105,000., Evap system, TPM system, front D/S 4 wheel drive, Fuel sending unit, and the list goes on and on..
