The service people would never fix it. Flashed the computer but it didn't work. I finnally found that the u bolts on the left rear axle had never been torqued up, they will hand loosen with a normal ratchet and socket.
After 7 trips to the dealer ship they took it for a morning. Still didn't fix it but made sure the took it for a torcher run. All my shocks were blown, I had to replace the front coils the rear leaf springs and shocks all the way around. With out proof
I can't sue them and they won't make it good. I took it all the way to the top but they wouldn't talk to me. I've ran out of options.
I tried to contact Ford directly but sat on hold for several hour's. I really love my Ford trucks I've had but am about to give up on them. Seems like it go's all the way to the CEO. O yea, forgot to mention they also bent my skid plate. I called a friend at a different Ford dealership and had him check the service report online with Ford and they never even recorded that I had my truck in the service center or that they had ever had possesion of it. Hard to believe coming from Ford. I love Ford trucks but I guess if their getting that bad its time to get a Toyota or something like that. I feel like breaking down and crying like a baby!!!!!!!! My XLT 4x4 super crew trashed by the dealership I bought it from.
And I'm a repeat buyer............ Jim (hambo58)
Update from Nov 13, 2011: Now to add insult to injury the salesman ( which I really like and ha no part of the problem ) called to see how I was doing with the truck. After I told him he told me that managment told him I had talked to the head boss over all their dealerships and had fixed my truck and everyone was happy. Far cry from the truth. In reality they threatened to void my warrany because I fixed what they tore up myself. Some warranty anyway, they won't honor any thing. The thought that they would damage my truck tells me they know that run is faulty from the factor. The shock on the right side is not even fitted properly, and now the back rear wheel is starting to tow out at the bottom. And the clanging, bumping and hard and untimely shifts are getting worse. Ford had screwed me good. And still won't help me in anyway. If I take it back again I may have to spend more money on something they tear up.!!!!!!!!
