This door would not open for any amount of trying. This was a safety issue. Had to remove battery cable every time I stopped to keep from burning up interior lights and exterior. Plus no one could get out this door.
I'm freakin livid!!!! My 2010 Ford F150 door ajar light is on and (passenger side, back door) will not go off. It's keeps saying I have a door ajar when it seems to be shut tight and locked. Additionally, the interior light will not go off due to the issue! Sooooo, I look up recalls...thinking maybe I will get lucky and this issue will be covered under some type of recall (so I will not be out hundreds of dollars this Christmas season). When I Google "door latch issues for 2010 Ford F150s", there it is! It clearly states that this has been an issue in many Ford cars and trucks, and is a safety hazard as some doors have been flying open due to the door latch issue. Excitedly, I call the local Ford House here in Wichita Falls, TX and tell them about the issue and the recall. However, after reading my VIN to the service associate, I am told that my specific VIN number is NOT included in the the recall! WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?!? So, I have to pay hundreds of dollars to get this repaired to ensure my 4-year old daughter is safe when this has been an issue specific to 2010 Ford F150s and many other models?!?!? I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD!!!!!!!!!
I have always love fords I have not been interested in anything else, and I have never really had a problem wit any vehicle I have had, but this one is really getting to me and my pocket. thank you.
Warning light for the right rear door ajar will not go out no matter how hard you slam the door. This also causes the interior lights to remain lit for a few seconds after you start the truck and want to drive away. You have to wait until the interior lights "time out" before you can safely drive after dark.
