After coming to a complete stop at a stop sign, I quickly accelerated and took my foot off the pedal when I reached posted speed limit...however the truck kept accelerating on its own!! I stepped on the brakes and it slowed a bit momentarily but rpm's continued to rise. My wife panicked and wanted to get out of the truck. I approached a red light and had to throw it in neutral and continued to stomp on the brakes. Luckily no one was in front of the truck. once it came to a complete stop, my wife jumped out. In neutral and at a red light the trucks rpm's were around 4000. I continued to press on the gas pedal and brake pedal with no avail. I shut the truck off while in neutral and revving at around 4000 rpms. I waited a minute or so and truck started and idled normal. I drove it around and accelerated rapidly several times immediately after and could not duplicate the problem. I'm taking it to dealer in the a.m.
