This is a huge problem, very time consuming and costly. I'm really f*cked if I get a flat tire and I'm far from home. Whenever I purchase new tires, I have to make sure the lugs are going to come off because I can't afford to have the tire shop do it.. I use to be a die hard Ford truck owner, not anymore F*CK Ford Motor Company. I will do my best to tell anybody thinking about buying a Ford vehicle, don't do it. I wish I could give the Ford Motor Company a lifetime supply of SH*T SANDWICHES to eat.

All studs sheered off last night while slowing down to stop for a light. Front left. The rotor just sort of dropped down onto the wheel and the whole tire seized up. Just had new pads, rotors, and 12 front wheel studs replaced about a week ago. Three studs broke while the shop was removing the tire so replacements were needed and recommended for all tires. Thank goodness was not traveling faster...could of been ugly.

The truck was towed back to the shop and they will be explaining their shoddy work if they don't try blaming something else instead. I was originally thinking bearings, but after reading up on wheels that just sort of seize up and fall off, it appears as though the lug nuts may have been too loose, or tight. I guess I could question the new product (studs). Could they have ordered the wrong size studs? My intermittent conclusion is that the lug nuts became loose after putting about 100miles, or so on wheel. We'll see..just sort of frustrating knowing that I could have been badly injured, or even killed someone.

Bottom line is that...if you feel your auto shuttering as if you have a flat and all the tires look good. Use extreme caution and get it to reliable mechanic ASAP. This is nothing to mess around with. It happens fast ! Be safe and God Bless.
