We bought this truck to tow our 32' travel trailer that weighs 6880 dry weight. This is so unsafe that my husband is not comfortable towing our new trailer. We had the Lincoln LT and it had no trouble pulling it what so ever so we figured the f150 was on the same chassis but maybe a little tighter. Wrong. All documentation on the Ford website and towing books claim the truck would tow like 9000 lbs. We only bought this truck to pull the camper and now we are screwed. We took it to the dealer and there was a transmission update because it wouldn't shift, and there was an exhaust leak. It then shifted but our mileage went from around 10 miles per gallon towing to 7.5 miles per gallon. It costs us $35 an hour tow the trailer. It just isn't right. I would never buy another Ford to tow. I will be calling Ford's Customer Service line to see if there is anything they will do.
