The contact owns a 2008 Ford F 150. After starting the vehicle, exhaust fumes emitted inside the vehicle, but the failure recurred daily. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the exhaust manifold kit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 66,000.
When my 08 F-250 diesel is driven in the rain on the highway at a constant speed, then accelerate to pass or go up a grade it has a hesitation and white smoke or steam. Ford replaced the cac with a new one this did not fix the problem. I filed a complaint with Ford they how ever have no answers as of 15/Feb/2011 I filed the complaint back in September of 2010.
My 2008 Ford F150 was sitting in my drive way until I had to leave to go run errands. I got in it, turned the key and there was fire coming out of the exhaust pipe. I think it stared in the engine because of how hot it was minutes after I turned the key. Please let people know about this. I do not want to see people being harmed by this. Im positive that if I hadn't turned it off as quickly as I did the engine would have caught fire and the truck would have been ruined, throwing away all the money that I bought it for. And wasting all the time that I cud have used the truck for hauling and road trips. Thank you.
