My 2008 Ford F150 was sitting in my drive way until I had to leave to go run errands. I got in it, turned the key and there was fire coming out of the exhaust pipe. I think it stared in the engine because of how hot it was minutes after I turned the key. Please let people know about this. I do not want to see people being harmed by this. Im positive that if I hadn't turned it off as quickly as I did the engine would have caught fire and the truck would have been ruined, throwing away all the money that I bought it for. And wasting all the time that I cud have used the truck for hauling and road trips. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-150. While approaching a stop sign, the vehicle spontaneously swayed forward then came to a complete stop. After applying pressure to the brake pedal the rpms increased, the vehicle accelerated and caused the driver to crash into another vehicle. There was moderate damage to the vehicle. While driving in reverse, the vehicle accelerated and crashed into a tree. There were no warning lights prior to the failures. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified and the contact is waiting for a response. The failure mileage was 2500 and the current mileage was 10,031.
