This generation F150 is a pain in the rear! This is my second one. The first one wasn't too bad it was a 2006 and it performed ok. This one has had the transmission go bad, for some reason #5 cylinder keeps misfiring, I have replaced the coil and plug on that one 3 times in a year, it idles rough now, and still codes out as misfire #5. The last mechanic said it needs the timing chain redone and I just don't have the money to do it. So it will be put off. I won't buy anything with this 5.4 motor again. I had a 1996 F150 and it ran like a top for years, never had to drop big money into it. I also had a 1977 F250 that didn't give me this much grief. Has Ford's quality really gotten this bad???
