The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. While driving 65 mph uphill, the vehicle accelerated without warning to 120 mph. The cruise control was activated at the time of failure. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to stop. He had to apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition to stop the vehicle. The road conditions were clear. As of June 19, 2007, the dealer has not inspected the vehicle. The current mileage is 986 and failure mileage was 263.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. While driving 65 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle began to automatically accelerate. The speedometer indicated that the vehicle accelerated to 125 mph. The contact attempted to disengage the cruise control and pump the brake pedal in order to decelerate. The contact had to shut the engine off and apply the brakes in order to stop the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were 253.
