At first it only whistled at highway speeds when it was cold, 20 degrees or less. Now it whistles even at idle and the temperature can be up in the thirties. It kind of reminds me of a wheel that is out of alignment. There is a slight vibration in the engine compartment when it is whistling and as the vibration goes away the whistling sound fades away. It is a metallic sound.
While driving in cold temperatures at a high rate of speed (65 mph), I hear a very loud whistle. This whistle is not steady. It comes and goes. Other than that, I love my Ford. I'm not however particularly fond of the dealer.
