How can a truck which I bought new and drive myself have such awful brakes? These rotors after being turned at 34,850 miles didn't even last until the warranty expired. This particular dealer who had done all my service sold to a new owner. I spoke with the new service manager at about 52,000 miles, bit he simply told me Ford. Did not have brake problems so it must be me. I drove a GMC for120,000 miles and never even turned the rotors when brakes were replaced at 80,000. I did file a claim with Ford which was brushed aside by telling me I was out of warranty. Ford is apparently using very cheap parts. Many of the replacement companies warranty their rotors for life against warping. I have never hauled anything over 200 lbs. and am a conservative 64 year old driver who has bought numerous vehicals, but this was the first Ford.
