Turned left onto a southbound highway lane and the right front tire detached from the upper control arm assembly, causing the tire to detach from that area. It landed on the highway however it was still attached by the lower control arm assembly. Due to the momentum of the truck I was able to get to the side of the highway and was not struck by the oncoming vehicles. Truck was towed and the assembly was replaced. It had completely rusted through.
