The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. While driving 20 mph, the battery light illuminated and the alternator gauge dropped. The dealer stated that the alternator caused the failure and they made the replacement. Approximately one year later, while driving 20 mph, the failure recurred. The dealer replaced the alternator again. The contact stated that the failure occurred two more times under the same circumstances. The dealer stated that the alternator was the cause of each failure. The failure mileage was 8,100 and current mileage is 26,200. Updated01/07/08 the windshield wiper blades and a fuse was replaced
The position of the left windshield wiper is incorrect, preventing it from going all the way up and clearing the windshield during inclement weather. This is making the ability to see the road difficult. Manufacturer was contacted by consumer, and was informed that nothing could be done to adjust the windshield wiper. The consumer stated that the drivers side wipers will not defrost.
Driver's windshield wiper leaves 6" blind spot uncleared/unwiped in line of sight along driver's windshield pillar. Almost hit pedestrian as a result of not being able to see. Also pulled out at intersection in front of another car because unable to see. Dealer can not fix because the wiper is "keyed" to that position only. Ford has been unwilling to resolve issue. Other owners complaining of safety hazard too.
