The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150 heritage. The contact stated that there was a hole found in the muffler on the bottom which he noticed after seeing a puddle under the vehicle. Furthermore, the clutch on the manual transmission would not shift correctly. The vehicle was inoperable. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired at the time of the complaint. The manufacturer had not been notified. The current mileage was 104,921. The failure mileage was 83,023.
Without warning, carbon monoxide smelled in vehicle and water leeking from exhaust system. The smell happened most of the time when the windows were closed and when it was raining. But it smelledalso when it was dry. Dealer stated they couldn't help help because they were not able to redesign the system. Manufacturer stated they couldn't help caller.
