The contact owns a 2003 Ford F150. The contact stated that there was an overpowering odor of gasoline fuel inside the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and was advised that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the vehicle was not included in any recall campaigns. The failure mileage was 150,000.
A spark plug worked loose from the head and blew out causing damage to the head and the ignition coil. All 8 plugs had to be replaced, two damaged spark plug holes repaired and two ignition coils replaced.

The contact stated that after receiving a recall repair under NHTSA campaign id number: 11V385000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly:mounting) his gas tank is leaking. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who took pictures to be sent to the manufacturer. The dealer called the contact and informed him the repairs would not be done. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 107,000.
