My White 2011 F150 work series truck has severe rusting problems. The entire undercarriage, the bottoms of all 4 doors, and the back above the bumper are rotting away. The brake lines have rotted through - real safety issue. I pulled the spare down and it looked like someone had been using it for an anchor, I had to replace it because it (the rim, not the tire) would not hold air. I am the original owner and have taken good care keeping it clean, and I don't live in an area that has environmentally caused rust issues. Ford had not stepped up to do anything about this for anyone to my knowledge. By comparison, my brother-in-law has the same year Tundra and they replaced the FRAME (yes I said frame) a couple of years ago. He did not even know he had a problem, it was a recall, and it didn't cost him a cent.
they even paid for a rental pickup while the work was being done. Now that's standing behind your product. If Ford wants to be competitive with the other players they should start stepping up like Toyota does. What happened to quality is job one?
