The contact owns a 2001 Ford F-150. While travelling at 55 mph, the hood of the vehicle popped open; the hood also became bent as it flew backward. The hood also caused several small cracks in the windshield. The vehicle was taken to a body shop where the contact was informed that the latch under the hood broke and caused the failure.
