Truck caught on fire in a parking lot while we were shopping. No one was in the truck and the truck was not running. Had been parked there for about 12 minutes. A man came running into the store asking who owned a Green Ford F 150. It was our truck. Caught on fire somewhere under the driver's side of the dash. Melted all plastic, broke the windshield as it was so hot of a fire. Totaled the truck.
Called Ford company to make a complaint. Today one week later they called and said there have been no complaints on this truck in the past with this problem. Told me to go to my insurance company and let them handle it. They were not going to deal with us. Passing the problem off to insurance to let them pay for the truck. Found this website and see many people have had the same fire problem but somehow Ford says they have had no such previous complaints. Need to file a class action law suit. Are you interested?
