I have been to the Ford dealer numerous times for these problems and this last time their engineer that came in has noted the problem I have. They consider this normal and acceptable as it is. For being a new truck it should have to be in the shop for all the problems it's had. I have all the service reports if needed. I pray that these problems can be resolved. When brakes were applied at highway speeds in a panic stop vehicle experienced extended stopping distance. Dealer was not able to duplicate the problem.
I have had problems with the absbrakes on this vehicle 5 times the dealership told that there is nothing wrong but the front brake do not work still this truck is not safe to drive.the tranmission sounds like it if about bust in half every time you shift it from first.they said it shifts fine.iam a certified drive train mechanic it dont shift fine.I will be consulting an attorney about persueing a lemon law claim.
Master cylinder had to be replaced after going out twice/ABS light stayed on constantly. Dealer fixed brakes twice. Also, rear brake line failed, and consumer had no brakes. Had to use emergency brakes. Also, when truck was six months old rear axle broke.
Front brake rotors needed to be replaced 4 times which caused braking system to pulsate, and resulted in extended stopping distance. Dealer could not determine the cause of the problem.

When slowing down hears a loud popping noise. Brakes will go to floor, and completely fail. This will occur intermittently and without warning. Dealer cannot determine cause.
When brakes were applied in wet road conditions, they caused the back wheels to lock up intermittently. Vehicle been in/out of dealer shop on several occasions, and problem still occurring.

While traveling at 50 - 60 mph consumer was forced to slam on the brakes because the car infront had stopped. While putting on brakes ABS locked up, and consumer rear ended vehicle that was in front. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.
The modular for ABS brakes was defective. Anti-lock brakes work, ABS light comes on at various times and will not stay on very long, in shop 10 to 12 times, they do not know how to fix the problem..
ABS brake problems; when traveling 55 mph and applying the brakes, pedal goes way pass the normal condition. There is no grab, but a slight slowing down which increases the stopping distance. This could cause a crash. The truck has been serviced twice for this problem.
When driving at any speed and applying the brakes, ABS system kicks in which causes the vehicle to skid. Also, both sides of the exhaust manifold engine bolts are loose, and there is a leakage which causes fumes to enter vehicle.
