: the contact stated the rear window leaked when it rained causing the rear seat to become wet. The interior lights and the brake lights failed to turn off when the ignition was turned off. Also, there was a humming noise coming from the rear end as the vehicle traveled 10 mph. The rear end was replaced 1 years ago including the suspension, rear axle, chassis, rings, pins and rear differential. The service dealer and manufacturer were notified.
1998 Ford F-150 XLT super-cab short bed. Structural defect on driver's side door. Right lower edge of window. Defect is approximately 1/2 in length. This defect has been viewed on numerous F-150's that I have seen. The same defect is on all.
Rear window has been leaking ever since consumer owned vehicle. Dealership informed consumer that since vehicle was out of a warranty period they could not assist him financially. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
The sliding rear window leaks every time the truck is washed. -- the door ajar light stays on, along with the cab light and cargo light, even when all doors are closed.
I have had the rear sliding window assembly replaced by the dealer 3 times. I am now experiencing this problem again for the 4th time. I'm hoping NHTSA will investigate this defect with Ford Motor Company and find a final fix.
The rear window disintergrated suddenly for no reason. Vehicle was parked at time. Also, seat belt location is at an angle, making it hard to reach & latch.
