Fuel line leak caused gasoline to spill onto the pavement; a definite safety hazard. Defect was covered by a safety recall, but I had previously taken vehicle in for inspection and given a clean bill of health. How can a part covered under a recall fail after I took it in? Ford is unwilling to cover any expenses except the repair costs, while I incurred addtional costs. The windshield washer quit working. Ford is unwilling to cover the cost of repairs.
I have contacted Ford Motor Co. By phone & email and they say they will get back w/me and never do. There is no follow up on their part. No customer service and no satisfaction. The customer service ended at the signing of the bill of sale. No safety defect.
Fuel line is rubbning against upper radiator hose and may cause a leakages which could lead to a possible engine compartment fire. Dealer / manufacturer were not notified at this time.
Fuel lines are spraying gas all over the exhaust system. Consumer is afraid it could cause a fire. Consumer will contact manufacturer to see if recall 00V231000/ manufacturer's recall 00S22 affects the vehicle.
