Vehicle has been experiencing problem with brake system; vehicle been in/out of dealer shop on three occasions in which rotors have been turned on during repairs, consumer believed warped rotors caused vehicle to vibrate whenever the brakes were being used. Asking NHTSA for help in this matter.
EA98018; the floormat moved underneath the accelerator pedal and caused the throttle to stick, had to turn off the vehicle to shut off, almost resulting an accident. Also problems with braking system in which brake pedal goes to the floor and extended stopping distance occurs. Dealer said the brakes represnt the characterists of the vehicle.

Dry day; while driving on flat ground, pulling into parking stall, and when making a right turn, front left made a racheting sound. As consumer pressed on brakes, applying more and more pressure, vehicle stopped after proceeding approximately two car lengths. The brakes have failed more the two times. Dealership cannot duplicate problem-,and says there's nothing they could do.
While driving approximately 55 mph, consumer proceeded to stop at a stop light, the vehicle went straight through the light there were no brakes, after pumping the brakes, the pressure came back, but the brakes were hard. Consumer states the vehicle also shook as if the rotors were coming apart.
Consumer experiencing problem with brakes not stopping vehicle properly. Been in /out of dealer shop, rear brakes were adjusted, but did not correct the problem.
ABS brake warning light remains illuminated, indicating malfunction within the system. Also, when applying the brakes the pedal pulsates, causing extended stopping distance.
While applying the brakes the anti- lock brake system locks up.the vehicle moves very slow and there is a lot of vibration in vehicle. Vehicle was at the dealer three times for repairs. Dealer can't determine what is the problem.
Brakes not effective under moderate hard braking. They make a clacking noise. Seems as though the ABS is not allowing the calipers, shoes and pads to work as one unit.
Vehicle still in shop because the brakes are not working properly, the brakes had failed many times before, and driver is unhappy about this matter. Dealer told driver that they will replace vehicle.
Whenever brakes are applied, damp, rainy or cold weather, the brakes would make noise & lock up. An intermittent problem. Took vehicle to dealership & mechanic checked it. Had replaced pads & drums on brakes. Had the brakes inpspected & told brakes were okay, but still have problem. Was told by mechanic to come once a month to have it checked. Manufacturer knows of problem.
