The contact owns a 1995 Ford F150. While driving at speeds of 50 mph, the leaf spring bracket rusted and fractured from the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic for repairs at the owners expense. The dealer was contacted and they stated there were no recalls for his vehicle. On a separate occasion, while driving at unknown speeds the front coil spring bracket failed. The contact struggled to maintain control of the vehicle but did so without incident. The vehicle was repaired at the owners expense. The failure mileage was 230,000 and the current mileage was 237,000.
While son was driving out a driveway heard a noise on the driver's side like a gun shot. Then he could see that the suspension coil springs broke. Vehicle had to be towed to service station, both coil springs replaced.
