Ok this is the second rear that has failed on me. In January of 2007 my 1989 f-250, 100,000 miles. the rear had a gear break apart and fly through the rear cover, lost fluid and seized up. now i have a 1995 f-150 with another bad rear, this time the exiter ring is worn down and my speedometer is not working, which in turn means the transmission is not shifting properly, its gotten so bad that its now slamming into and out of gear. i dont know ho0w much more i can take from ford. they need to solve this problem with their rears. they make awesome trucks but they need to fix these problems.
