Had to have the drive shaft replaced when I took my vehicle to get it inspected. It had a shudder between 35-50 mph. The mechanic showed me how worn out the drive shaft was. He replaced it, with the total price was almost 1000.00 dollars. It did not stop the shudder at 35-50 mph. But it added a high speed vibration from 60 to 80 mph. I took it to the local Ford dealer and told them I had three problems with the truck. A high speed vibration, a shudder at 35-50 mph and a bucking problem when I go to take off. They put all new seals in the drive shaft I had replaced and that cured the high speed vibration. They cleaned the throttle body and that cured the bucking problem when taking off. They also found metal filing in the transfer case and they think that was the problem for the shudder at 35-50 mph. They replaced the gears in the transfer case but it did not get rid of the shudder at 35-50 and they have no idea what is causing it.
