This entire odyssey happened at 5 years and 63,000 miles.

Engine stalled while cruising on a highway then suddenly stopped. The dashboard didn't indicate any problems, so I got out of the car and walked around it only to find water vapor coming out of the muffler. I knew this was bad. When the mechanic opened the engine determined that a broken exhaust valve was to blame. The broken valve hit the piston and broke it; then, the broken piston cracked the block of the engine. The result, an engine replacement was needed because of Ford poor quality. It is amazing the cheapness of the materials Ford uses to make parts. Ford makes sure their vehicles can run long enough to surpass the basic warranty, so nobody can sue them. After the power train warranty has expired, they are off the hook. What a shame!!! They know those problems but would not take responsibility. I guess the only thing left to say is that if you are stupid enough to buy a Ford for it looks, at least be smart enough to sale it within the next five years. Just keep in mind that after five years it will fall apart. This was my first and last Ford. For those who speak Spanish remember what FORD stands for: Fabricacion Ordinaria Reparacion Diaria. Menaing : Poor quality craftsmanship requires daily repairs. Just stay away from Ford.
