I was going about 15 mph on S. Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena CA, when the traffic light ahead turned yellow. The car ahead of me was starting to brake, so I started to brake. My brake pedal went to the floor. I kept pushing the brake pedal but I got no response. I tapped the car in front of me but since he was still moving, I did not do much damage. As I was turning left to try and miss the car in front, the car in front stopped at the red light, then I hit him with the right front of my Explorer. I was able to pull away to the left, but my brakes still did not work, so I made a U turn to the right and luckily no cross traffic was coming. A very scary situation.
My Ford dealer in Santa Monica CA said that they are finding NO PROBLEMS. Yeah, right!!! The tow truck driver told me that he towed a few more Ford Explorers that had the same problem.
Please email me at bobdebiase@ca.rr.com if you have had a similar experience. Thanks.
