Quarter coin blemish on roof on a brand new vehicle. This vehicle was usually automated car washed, but I do decide one day to wash it manually. Long and behold I notice a defect not typically seen because the roof is out of view, unless of course a person uses a ladder to hand wash the vehicle.
The significance is that had I not noticed this issue on my wife's vehicle, this problem would only had been seen once the paint would start peeling off, and by then the warranty would be over, and it would cost me significantly to address the issue.
