Ford is delivering new vehicles with incomplete manufacturing processes. The metal frame construction within the seats is NOT being coated (anti corrosion treated) after welding the seat parts together. My brand new 2018 Explorer has 18 rust points INSIDE the upholstered second row seats. Ford says this is acceptable normal construction; and will not address the specific concern or treat the corroding seat frames.
(The dealer is sympathetic toward me and has agreed to treat the accessible areas of the seat frames (not full disassembled frame) with anti corrosion treatment.)
