Had a complaint of a clunk while stationary and a feeling of instability while traveling through curves. Vehicle was inspected for possible inner tie rod failure, upon removal of the inner tie rod bellows it was discovered that the bushings that carried the center link inside the rack assembly are worn allowing the movement making the clunking noise. Part cost alone is $916. There are lots of reports of these failing for a myriad of issues, it's quite disappointing as the vehicle has not been abused and has otherwise been problem free.
