The display screen on the vehicle went blank (black) for no reason. I had no radio, no time or temperature, and no backup camera. Turning it on and off did not correct the issue. Since this was the 2nd time this had occurred, I took it back to the Ford dealership, and this time, insisted that they keep the car and try to figure out why it was occurring. (The first time, since it wasn't "blank" at the moment I brought it in, they said they wouldn't be able to diagnose anything.) They had the vehicle for 3 or 4 days, and each day when I checked on the status, they said they were waiting to hear from Ford as they needed a "key" code to unlock something within the electronics of the vehicle. Seriously????? I honestly felt like they really didn't know what they were doing, or what they were dealing with. I finally got a call that indicated they were pretty certain they'd figured it out. I believe they replaced a "module" or something.....which was fine, as long as it didn't happen again.
Well, it did, and I will lodge yet a 3rd complaint regarding the "blank screen."
